Died in defense of our country...JOHN, of Company B. 148th Regt. P.V. Aug. 16, 1863, aged 23 years.
Sergt. Joseph I., of Company G, 5th Regt. P.V., was taken prisoner Aug. 24 at Camden RR, and after enduring the hardships of solitary prison six months, arrived home an emaciated frame to die in the embrace of his friends in Unionville, Centre County, April 5, 1865, in the 23rd year of his age.
