Mrs. Sarah Hughlett

Thomas Hughlett Esquire
Daughter of Obed Dixon
and Sarah his wife:
Who was born the 2d February 1748
and died in the year 1772
in the 24th year of her age
leaving her husband and two infant children
a daughter Mary in the 6th year of her age
& son William in the 3rd year of his age.
Thus as a rose just bloomed
was she plucked from earth away
This marble is a memorial
of the filial affection of her son William,
who was bereaved of her
too soon to have any knowledge of those miracles
which from (indecipherable) she so highly possessed.
