The ghost of one who has died at the hands of the executioner, in an accident, or by his own hand. The bhuta casts no shadow and never touches the ground. It speaks with a distinctive nasal twang and is allergic to burning tumeric. ONe can escape a bhuta simply by lying on the ground.
