| Saoshyant
Zoroastrian
Of the three saviors slated to follow the prophet Zoroaster, the last of these, Saoshyant, promises to purge the world completely of the works of Ahriman (evil). Saoshyant brings the dead to life at the end of Time: the good go to dwell with Ahura Mazda and the wicked, including Ahriman, are cast into Druj, an unhappy pit of cold and darkness. Then a discharge of molten fire covers the earth. The just bathe in it as they would in a tub of warm milk: the evil feel it for what it truly is and are consumed, destroyed. Following frashkart, as this is called, the remnants of existence will live in Ahura Mazda and the vile works and sufferings wrought by Ahriman shall be unknown.
