The creator of the forerunners of the Navajo people who lives in the land of the dead, located west of the Navajo homeland (presumably not California). She used maize and the dust which had gathered on her breasts to make the first people, the ancestors of the Navajo. She retains a sympathetic interest in her creations, sending them good things from time to time.
