Those dead who did not remain behind to be revered as ani inside of specially carved totem objects elave the mortal world to live in one of two places: The good go to Pachet, a paradise beneath the sea. Evil doers are tortured with fire by a sadistic godling who, when he has had his pleasure, throws them into a river for delivery to Pueliko, a gloomy place guarded by a pair of hags.
