Flowerland Maidu (California) The paradisical homeland of the Maidu creator Wonomi whose name means "no death". He made human beings and started the cycles of nature, but was displaced in his creation's affections by the trickster Coyote. Wonomi withdrew to the lands above the clouds where still welcomes the souls of the virtuous dead.
